Minors (aged 17 years or younger) departing Nicaragua must hold a letter of consent from their parents or legal guardians, issued by a public notary. The letter must be shown to immigration on departure, who will stamp a visa into the minor's passport.
Dual nationality minors aged 18 yrs or under are subject to the regulations of Nicaraguan minors when departing Nicaragua (even though they are also the citizens of other countries).
