BREXIT:
On 31 January 2020 the United Kingdom withdrew from the European Union (EU) and ceased to be a member of the European Economic Area (EEA). Minors (aged 17 years or under) departing Romania must hold a notarised letter of authorisation from the minor's parents or legal guardians if any of the following applies:
1) The minor is travelling unaccompanied.
2) The minor is travelling accompanied by only one parent or legal guardian. A letter of authorisation is not required if the accompanying adult holds proof that the absent parent is deceased, or proof of a final court decree granting sole custody.
3) The minor is travelling with an adult who is not their parent or legal guardian.
Visa Exemptions
Passengers with a double or multiple entry "C" visa, valid for all Schengen Member States. The visa must be valid for the period of intended stay. They are visa exempt for a maximum stay of 90 days.
The maximum stay is granted within 180 days.
Passengers with a double or multiple entry "C" Schengen visa, with Limited Territorial Validity (LTV), issued on a travel document that is not recognized by all Schengen Member States. They are visa exempt for a maximum stay of 90 days. The visa must be valid for:- all the Schengen Member States that recognize the travel document, and- for the period of intended stay.
The maximum stay is granted within 180 days.
Passengers with a “C" visa issued by Bulgaria, Croatia or Cyprus, valid for the period of intended stay. They are visa exempt for a maximum stay of 90 days.
The maximum stay is granted within 180 days.
Passengers with a "D" visa issued by Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus or a Schengen Member State for a maximum stay of 90 days.
The maximum stay is granted within 180 days.
Entry and Transit Restrictions
Passengers who transited through or have been in China (People's Rep.), Iran, Italy or Korea (Rep.) are not allowed to enter Romania.
